Sanford, NC – Bear Creek Arsenal®, an industry leader in AR-style rifles and components, announces the release of their first full-size handgun with the all-metal, GENES1S. Chambered in 9mm, the GENES1S adds the durability of 7075 T6 Aluminum and other valuable features to the tried-and-true striker-fired design.
The GENES1S comes with a 4.5” threaded Bear Claw fluted barrel made from 416R stainless steel, allowing for both tight groups and longer barrel life. It is also suppressor-ready with standard threads and a protective cap. Attaching flashlights, lasers, and other accessories is just as easy with the M1913 Picatinny rail underneath the slide.
The all-metal lower half of the GENES1S was designed for a comfortable and ergonomic feel in the hand, featuring aggressive stippling, a wider trigger guard, trigger safety, ambidextrous mag release, and a flared magwell for faster reloads.
The slide of the Bear Creek Arsenal® GENES1S is cerakoted Flat Dark Earth (FDE) and features front and rear serrations and window cuts to reduce weight. The top of the slide contains metal photoluminescent iron sights for enhanced durability and target acquisition at night. Additionally, it is optic-ready out of the box and is compatible with RMR-style red dot sights.
Yet another advantage of the GENES1S handgun is its compatibility with aftermarket Glock® Gen-3 parts and holsters, making it easy to fully customize your handgun. Despite being all metal, the GENES1S is still incredibly lightweight, weighing in at only 26 ounces empty.
