A 21.7-ounce hunting riflescope combines a 6x zoom range with five independently lockable BDC reference markers.
ZeroTech Optics USA introduces the Thrive HD 2.5-15x50 – PHR 2, a hunting riflescope built around two backcountry priorities: manageable weight and elevation references matched to the hunter's own rifle and load. At 21.7 ounces, the new model pairs a 2.5-15x magnification range and 50mm objective with an Adjustable BDC Turret, bringing a customizable approach to the Thrive HD riflescope family.
The turret is the centerpiece of the design. Five reference markers can be positioned from confirmed range data and locked independently, rather than relying on a fixed factory BDC setting. The full 0.25 MOA scale remains visible beneath the markers, preserving conventional click adjustments alongside those personalized references. A standard capped turret is also supplied for hunters who prefer a capped configuration.
The 6x zoom range serves a different need: one rifle moving between very different terrain. At 2.5x, the scope provides a 40.4-foot field of view at 100 yards for working through close timber and tighter cover. Increasing magnification to 15x brings distant detail into view across open country, with a 6.8-foot field of view at the same distance. The range gives hunters a low-power starting point without giving up a useful top end.
A non-illuminated, glass-etched reticle sits in the second focal plane, maintaining a consistent apparent size as magnification changes. Its MOA hold references are calibrated at 15x. Together with the adjustable turret, that gives the scope two distinct ways to reference elevation: the marked dial and the reticle at its calibrated power. The design keeps those functions separate and clearly defined.
The 30mm 6061-T6 aluminum maintube houses 60 MOA of internal elevation adjustment and 60 MOA of windage, indexed in quarter-MOA clicks. Fully multi-coated lenses, an IPX7 waterproof rating and fogproof construction support use in changing field conditions. Eye relief measures 4.0 inches, while parallax adjustment runs from 10 yards to infinity.
For hunters selecting glass for a rifle that will be carried as much as it is fired, the combination is the point: 21.7 ounces, a broad magnification range and confirmed elevation references on the optic itself. Supplied flip-up covers and a removable magnification throw lever round out a package intended for long days on foot, backed by the ZeroTech Triple-A Lifetime Warranty.
