Trijicon Introduces Next-Generation REAP-IR-50 Thermal Riflescope

WIXOM, MI. – Trijicon®, a global leader in the design and manufacture of innovative aiming solutions, announces the new REAP-IR®-50 thermal riflescope series, combining high-resolution thermal imaging, advanced media capabilities, intuitive user-configurable controls, wireless connectivity, and an available integrated laser rangefinder in an all-new, field-ready thermal platform.

American to the core, the REAP-IR-50 is powered by an all-new, proprietary Trijicon Thermal Core, featuring a 1024×768 high-resolution thermal sensor paired with a 1280×1024 SXGA full-color OLED display. The combination delivers exceptional thermal definition and image clarity to help users detect, recognize, and identify targets in demanding conditions. A manual-focus 50mm F1.0 objective lens, multiple thermal palettes, and advanced image-processing features allow users to optimize the image for changing terrain and environmental conditions.

The REAP-IR-50 also makes it easy to capture and share what happens in the field. Users can record video and still images directly through the optic, while recoil-activated recording helps automatically capture the shot without requiring the user to manually start recording. With 64GB of internal memory, there is plenty of room to store photos and video for later review and sharing.

Integrated Wi-Fi connectivity works with the Trijicon App, allowing users to wirelessly access and download photos and videos directly to a smartphone or tablet. The app's Live View feature also allows the image from the REAP-IR-50 to be streamed in real time to a connected mobile device - giving another user the ability to see what is being viewed through the optic.

For users who want integrated ranging capability, the REAP-IR®-50LRF features a built-in 905nm laser rangefinder capable of quickly determining target distance. The onboard ballistic calculator then uses the selected shooter profile to generate an on-screen corrected hold reference, combining ranging and ballistic information directly within the optic. Five different profiles allow the user to save multiple profiles for different rifles or ammunition types.

Trijicon also put considerable attention into how the REAP-IR-50 is operated in the field. A top-mounted, ambidextrous five-button keypad features large tactile controls that are easy to locate in darkness, while wearing gloves, or under stress. Programmable Quick Keys give users one-touch access to frequently used functions without navigating through multiple menus, allowing the interface to be customized around individual preferences and applications.

The REAP-IR-50 series also includes eight selectable thermal palettes (including black hot, white hot, edge detect, color, and a hybrid max heat), multiple reticle choices, up to 1-8x digital zoom, GPS capability, video streaming, and USB-C connectivity. Designed for hard use in the field, the REAP-IR-50 is tested to MIL-STD-810H standards for shock, vibration, temperature extremes, and harsh environmental conditions. It is designed, engineered, machined, and assembled in the United States.
