Commercial sales veteran brings two decades of experience in channel development and sales leadership
CZ announces the appointment of Jon Shaffer as Vice President of Commercial Sales. Reporting to John Dain, President and Chief Commercial Officer, Shaffer will lead commercial sales execution and channel development for CZ-USA and Dan Wesson.
Shaffer brings two decades of sales and marketing experience, including more than 10 years at SIG SAUER, where he advanced through four leadership positions. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of National Accounts, leading commercial strategy across retail, distributor, buying group and dealer channels.
“Jon understands this industry and knows how to develop people,” said Dain. “I want our sales teams to work on behalf of the customer and take responsibility for helping our business partners succeed. Jon has been effective at mentoring salespeople and building teams with that approach. I am confident he will help us in continuing to support our retail partners and distributors.”
In his new role, Shaffer will oversee relationships with independent dealers, national retailers, distributors and buying groups. His responsibilities will include field sales leadership, dealer program development, revenue planning, forecasting and product launch execution. He will work closely with marketing, product and operations teams to pursue profitable growth while protecting pricing integrity and brand value.
Before joining SIG SAUER, Shaffer served as Director of Sales and Marketing at Advanced Technology International, following his promotion from Marketing Manager. He led sales, marketing, product management and customer service, built a national independent sales representative network, and expanded dealer and distributor relationships.
