Primary Arms Optics has released a limited commercial run of the PLx Compact 1-8x24 FFP RDB Rifle Scope with the ACSS® Raptor 5.56/.308 Meter G2 reticle. The ACSS Raptor Meter G2 was designed at the request of international teams whose ranges, maps, and fire commands all work in metric. This run brings the same reticle to the commercial market for the first time.

Like the existing yard-based Raptor G2, the Meter G2 is optimized for 5.56, .308, and similar cartridges, combining a bullet drop compensation (BDC) system with a true Red Dot Bright® horseshoe and chevron. Full vertical and horizontal ranging stadia, wind holds, and moving target leads all carry over. The difference is that every drop and ranging reference is calculated in meters, so marksmen working from metric range cards or coordinating with metric-standard teams never have to convert. And because the reticle is in the first focal plane, keeping every holdover true at any magnification from 1x to 8x.

"We developed the Raptor Meter G2 in direct response to requirements from international end users operating in exclusively metric systems," says Stephen Morgan, Senior Director of Sales and Marketing at Primary Arms Optics. "After continued interest from the commercial market, we allocated a limited production run for civilian shooters. Once this inventory sells through, we do not currently have plans to produce more."

Built in Japan around high-precision ED glass, the PLxC 1-8x24 FFP RDB Rifle Scope is among the best in its class.
