Held as part of Gunsite Academy's 50th Anniversary celebration, this one-of-a-kind competition will bring together more than 30 shooters, industry manufacturers, and Scout Rifle enthusiasts to honor the legacy of Colonel Jeff Cooper and his revolutionary Scout Rifle concept.

The Gunsite Scout Rifle World Championship will feature eight challenging stages of fire, including two battlefield pickup rifle stages, with competitors engaging targets from 25 to 350 yards throughout a 60-round course of fire. In keeping with Cooper's vision of the Scout Rifle as a lightweight, versatile, and practical field firearm, all rifles entered in the competition must meet established Scout Rifle specifications for length, weight, caliber, and fixed sights. Rifles that fall outside these specifications will incur scoring penalties.
