Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 Receives Readers’ Choice Award

Superiority in its class makes Super Black Eagle 3 the Sporting Shotgun of the Year

ACCOKEEK, Md.   – Benelli’s famed waterfowl shotgun, the Super Black Eagle 3, added another accolade to its already lengthy resume with a Ballistic’s Best Readers’ Choice Award from Ballistic magazine.

Award winners, who were selected by consumer voting, will be featured in the forthcoming Ballistic’s Best 2018 edition.

“We’re honored to receive awards – especially one selected directly by consumers,” said Benelli USA Vice President of Brand Marketing Tim Joseph. “We’re grateful to everyone who voted for the Super Black Eagle 3 and proud to add this honor to the shotgun’s list of accolades.”

Long synonymous with hardcore waterfowl hunting worldwide, the fabled Super Black Eagle received significant enhancements to its look, feel and performance prior to being unveiled at SHOT Show 2017 – all the while retaining the uniquely Benelli elements that brought the model such widespread acclaim over the last three decades.

“Our evaluation teams undertook a serious and monumental task of selecting firearms representing superiority in their class with the most significant developments over the past year,” said Nino Bosaz, Athlon Outdoors’ editorial director. “From personal-defense handguns and 1911s to AR-platform rifles, shotguns and precision bolt guns, we tested every new firearm head to head and selected only the finest to receive the Ballistic’s Best trophy.”
