June 22, 2012, OREGON CITY, Ore.-Benchmade Knife Company is proud to announce the promotion of Doug Pettis to Vice President of Sales & Marketing. In his new role, he will oversee all sales and marketing activities for Benchmade at their headquarters in Oregon.

Mr. Pettis joined Benchmade over eight years ago as a Product line Manager, and has since held many positions, most recently as the Director of Sales. Doug holds an MBA and bachelors degree from the University of Washington.

"Doug has been a strong and effective contributor to Benchmade's success since he joined the company," says Les de Asis, CEO and Owner of Benchmade Knife Company. "His knowledge of the knife industry, Benchmade's market position, and customer relationships position him very well to lead the company toward greater success."
