Colt Anaconda Wins "Best Revolver" Award

West Hartford, Conn. - The accolades keep coming for the Colt Anaconda!

The Colt Anaconda had already won Ballistic Magazine's "Editor's Choice Award" as the Best Revolver of 2021. The big, bold 2021 Anaconda was entirely re-designed with an oversized Python action, creating a double-action revolver worthy of its "Snake Gun'' pedigree, Ballistic's editors gave credit where it was very much due.

The Anaconda has garnered the Ballistic "Reader's Choice Award," where the publication's readers, who participated in online voting over the same 60 firearms editors had considered for their award, decided that the Anaconda was the best revolver to hit the market in 2021.

Ballistic Magazine's writers and editors evaluate dozens of different firearms each year, firing thousands of rounds downrange in a grueling series of tests, assessing guns for accuracy, reliability and more. They record each in the Ballistic scoring system and tabulate the results. Outstanding performers rise to the top, and winners receive the coveted Ballistic Best Award for 2021.

It is noteworthy that this list does not cater to advertisers—it was an experience-based and data-driven review of the guns Ballistic thinks readers want to own and shoot.

Then, the magazine's readers had their chance to register their votes for the top firearm in each category, and the Anaconda handedly took "Best Revolver" kudos.

So, what did the Ballistic readership determine that was so special about the 2021 Colt Anaconda?

They decided that the Anaconda was an unstoppable huntsman's sidearm. The revolver's premium features include a linear leaf spring action that provides a non-stacking, smooth-as-glass trigger pull. A solid stainless-steel frame adds strength and durability to the powerful .44 Magnum cartridge while recoil-absorbing Hogue grips soak up magnum recoil.

The Anaconda also features adjustable, interchangeable sights for optimum shooting at the range or in the woods. Shooters who want to mount an optic will appreciate the Anaconda's drilled and tapped frame. The 2021 Anaconda Colt is available in 6- and 8-inch ventilated barrel options, and both sport a recessed target crown for muzzle protection.
