Winter Park, FL – RSR Group, Inc.’s Founder and Chairman, Robert Steger, has announced

his plans to retire on June 30, 2020, after 42 years of service with the company. Bob is one of the original founders, starting the company in a two-car garage in Rochester, New York in 1977, and he served as President and CEO of RSR Group from 1983 to 2008. Bob’s dedication to the company and his driving principles of honesty, integrity and customer service have earned the company a great reputation in the shooting sports industry.

Bob’s strategic vision for a company, which evolved from humble beginnings to a leading

shooting sports distributor, focused on his commitment to our employees, our customers and our vendor partners. He recognized that our employees set us apart from our competition and that our customer and vendor relationships were critical to the company’s success. Bob’s innovation and creativity during his career will long be remembered in the company history. His inspiration and direction led to the firearms industry’s first virtual trade show, the RSR Group EShow.

Through the years, Bob has provided invaluable guidance to the company as well as leadership and support to many industry organizations and initiatives. His contributions to the success of RSR Group have developed a legacy of growth sustained through integrity, exceptional service, and financial stability.
