Essential Functions
- Works with the Engineering team to develop manufacturing processes by studying requirements; researching, designing, modifying, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Designs and builds tools and fixtures that assist with production.
- Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
- Communicates with vendors to ensure the best and cost-effective equipment is chosen for the project.
- Develops R&D tooling and machining operations to assist the production line.
- Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Utilizes SolidWorks for engineering projects.
- Provides manufacturing engineering information to management and teammates by answering questions and requests.
- Performs machine maintenance, diagnostics and repairs; when necessary, coordinates with vendors to perform maintenance and repair services.
- Completes design and development projects, and trains others on the processes.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing goals.
- Other job-related duties.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- 5+ Years’ Related Experience and Training
- Background in Firearms or Related Industry Preferred
- Manual Machining Experience
