Accokeek, MD – Benelli, is pleased to announce that several members of Team Benelli 3-Gun successfully participated in the 2022 Zombies in the Heartland event. This much-anticipated annual competition took place June 3-5 at the Heartland Public Shooting Park in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Sponsored by Hornady, Zombies in the Heartland has become one of the top 3-gun events in the country, featuring zombie-themed courses of fire. In this 10th annual event, shooters from across the U.S. descended on this peaceful Midwest town to battle a range of reactive “undead” targets.

Representing Team Benelli 3-Gun at this year’s event were members Aaron Hayes, Lance Dingler, and Ashlynne Thomas. All Benelli shooters participated in the highly competitive Tactical division. Dingler captured 3rd place, followed by Hayes in 5th. New Benelli team member Ashlynne Thomas logged 31st in the Tactical division and won High Lady.

“The Hornady Zombie match never disappoints,” said Thomas. “They put so much effort into the props and make the match a good experience for the shooters that you can’t NOT have a good time!”
