New Series from The Sporting Chef Productions Debuts During Outdoor Channel’s “Premiere Week” September 29-October 3

From cold-weather training to learning how to stay fueled during combat missions, Jason Nauert, also known as “Jason the Butcher,” is hosting a new series by the same name on Outdoor Channel, premiering on October 3 at 7 p.m. ET. Nauert, a craft master with over 45 years of experience as a hunter, outdoorsman, and butcher, shows his work with America’s armed forces and everyday outdoor enthusiasts, teaching essential skills for thriving in the wild.

Each episode of Jason the Butcher takes viewers on a journey through challenging environments, historical insights, and hands-on lessons in survival, hunting, and shooting. From subzero survival training in Montana to a Civil War reenactment exploring combat food logistics, Nauert’s expertise and passion for the outdoors shine through every adventure.

• Best Ranger – Jason participates in the Army’s Best Ranger Competition, learning how physical fitness enhances the odds of survival.
