Gunsite GLOCK Featured In March GUNS Magazine

According to GUNS Editor Brent T. Wheat, the new Gunsite GLOCK Service Pistol (GGSP) is “literally revolutionary — it will tilt the gun world a few degrees off-axis, crush some pre-conceived notions and destroy a few long-cherished certainties, as wrong as they might be.”

Built from the G45, the GGSP boasts a Holosun HE509T-RD X2, an FBI Magazine Release and the fire control system features a Minus Connector. Wheat’s range time with the GSSP managed a tight 0.59"x1.3" 5-shot group off a sandbag at 25 yards.

Gunsite CEO Ken Campbell notes, “This GLOCK is something a young deputy with two kids, a wife, a dog, car and house payments can afford without breaking the bank. I always asked, ‘What is affordable but will reliably protect the deputies’ lives, their families’ lives and their citizens’ lives? That is exactly what the Gunsite GLOCK Service Pistol will do.”

What could be better than a “make your own pizza”? Building your own BFR! Jeff “Tank” Hoover’s semi-custom Magnum Research BFR revolver sports a 9" octagonal barrel and nitride finish, and handles .454 Casull loads like a champ.

Topping the March Firearm Package Giveaway is an EAA/Girsan MC28 SA pistol. The full-size 9mm with 17+1 round capacity has an adjustable three-dot sight system and three replaceable grip inserts. The winner will also receive a Chernobyl Ant knife from Finch Knife Co. and a pair of WX Valor glasses from Wiley X. Readers are encouraged to enter the free drawing — valued at $652 — online at GunsMagazine.com/giveaways.

A new bi-monthly column makes it GUNS debut this month: Make Ready will feature defensive shooting tips from the instructors at Gunsite Academy. For its inaugural run, Ken Campbell explains why “Make Ready” is more than just a command. Mark Hampton reveals his “Top 5 Revolvers For Big Game.” For hunting deer, warthogs or Cape buffalo the choices abound, but Mark’s favorites have earned their spot in more ways than one. How much should you invest in an old gun? Shotguns writer Tom Keer offers sound insights about restoring (or not) a firearm in “Gunning Iron Or Cabinet Queen?”
