Dealers Select SHOT Show Standouts In Aprils Shooting Industry

Amidst the busy booths and aisles at SHOT Show 2018, Shooting Industry tapped attendees for their favorite product picks. April’s issue features the top dealer choices for this year’s “Best In Show.” Retailers won’t want to miss the report on the Law Enforcement section of the show — enhanced by a special Law Enforcement & Tactical New Product Showcase.

With more than five hundred new products on display at SHOT Show 2018, Carolee Anita Boyles presents the standouts dealers found the most impressive and likely to trend this year — running the gamut from interactive range systems and muzzleloading shotguns to lightweight rain gear and trail cameras

Kim Ball and her husband, Dr. Carl Ball, own Locked & Loaded Arms in Seabrook, Texas, and are preparing to build a new range and store. They were particularly impressed with the adaptability of Ti Outdoors’ V23 Range System: “[It’s] an interactive system that can be used to play games or you can use it with live fire. Or you can take it off the range and use it with CO2guns, or in a classroom setting. It’s very versatile with good return on investment.”

In other SHOT Show-related news, the April issue covers the innovation found in the Law Enforcement and Tactical segment. This year’s SHOT Show put the latest innovation on display, creating many on-site business opportunities for dealers in today’s normalized market.

John Paulk, Jr., president of Shot Spot shares, “The LEO segment of the shooting market is very important to us at Shot Spot, as it’s a key cog in the defense of our families, the media and ultimately our liberties.”

Additional highlights of the April issue include an exclusive interview with Adam Weatherby, president of Weatherby, about the company’s upcoming move to Wyoming. Readers get a lesson on the anatomy of print advertisements in the “Outdoor Marketplace” column. Done right, arresting visuals and persuasive headlines create a highly effective call to action. The “Arms & The Woman” installment details how a new approach to product innovation (rather than a “shrink it and pink it” model) is finding success among female customers. And a New Product Showcase dedicated to the Law Enforcement & Tactical end user includes the latest equipment and protective gear from more than 30 companies.
