Everest Joins The #responsiblerecreation Initiative

The Woodlands, Texas – June 8, 2020 – Everest, the outdoor gear industry’s first customer-centric, community-driven, multi-merchant marketplace, is proud to support the efforts of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) and other conservation partners in encouraging individuals and families to enjoy the outdoors while practicing #ResponsibleRecreation.

CSF, along with other conservation organizations, recently launched the Responsible Recreation campaign as an effort to encourage Americans to responsibly enjoy outdoor recreation while adhering to COVID-19 public health practices and natural resource stewardship principles.

Whether participating in hunting, fishing, recreational shooting or other outdoor opportunities, these activities support mental and physical well-being while social distancing and are a great way to enjoy the outdoors during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Our nation offers abundant public lands and waters for Americans to enjoy while participating in a variety of activities in a safe and constructive manner. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, CSF and other partners have been working with governors and other state leaders to keep these viable opportunities open and accessible to the public.

“Everest has pledged to support CSF’s Responsible Recreation campaign and will remain committed to promoting how to enjoy the outdoors responsibly during this pandemic, says Bill Voss, CEO/Founder of Everest. “We want to encourage everyone to get outdoors and enjoy the natural beauty of this country whether it’s hiking your favorite trail, fishing your favorite spot or visiting your local outdoor range. As avid outdoorsmen, it’s our responsibility to show others how to enjoy the outdoors safely and responsibly.”

#ResponsibleRecreation seeks to engage all outdoor enthusiasts by encouraging safe and responsible recreation. Maintaining opportunities for these activities also supports critical conservation funding during this time of economic uncertainty, while also supporting the businesses that drive the outdoor recreation economy.
