Westfield, MA – Camfour, Inc., one of the nation’s largest distributors of firearms, suppressors, accessories, and ammunition, proudly announces the release of the “Aces and Eights” a commemorative, limited edition Colt Python inspired by one of the most storied moments in the American West.
On August 2, 1876, legendary gunfighter Wild Bill Hickok met his end in a saloon in Deadwood, Dakota Territory. While playing poker, Hickok was shot, holding a pair of black aces and black eights. That fateful hand and Hickok’s legend would forever be woven into the mythology of the Old West, a world defined by courage and risk.
Nearly eighty years later, Colt embodied that same spirit when it introduced the Colt Python in 1955 — a revolver that set new standards for precision, craftsmanship, and mechanical excellence. Today, the Python continues to bridge eras, uniting the frontier’s grit with the precision of modern engineering. From black powder to .357 Magnum, from the open plains to the target range, Colt’s legacy of excellence endures.
Each “Aces and Eights” limited edition Colt Python pays tribute to that legacy. The revolver features machine-engraved Old West–inspired scrollwork and four gold-inlaid “pips” in 18k gold, a subtle nod to Hickok’s final hand. Each firearm is presented in a custom display case, accompanied by Colt-branded poker chips and playing cards, evoking the saloon tables and stories that shaped America’s frontier spirit.
The “Aces and Eights” Colt Python — where legend, craftsmanship, and history converge.
