The United States of America and its citizens have been tested and challenged in many ways since the nation’s founding nearly two and a half centuries ago. Through the gravest turmoil, our country has stood firm on our collective values of freedom, personal responsibility, mutual respect, and just law—creating a society envied throughout the world and through the ages.

Today, America is threatening to buckle at the knees, not from external threats so much as assaults from within our borders. While the battle fronts are many, the most frightening and dangerous of all is that being leveled at our greatest personal and national treasures—our children.

Most of us never saw it coming.

The steady erosion of the core values and vital virtues that once lifted our society to be the strongest yet most benevolent the world has ever known has had no greater impact than on our children. Now, that decline in values and virtues is being visited upon us all and so we ask ourselves, “How can we stop this?”

It begins with a renewed and focused effort to nurture, guide, and strengthen the least among us.

While it is a well-worn but absolute truth that our future is our children, it takes young people instilled with an unshakable moral foundation and exceeding personal strength to become the citizens, fathers, mothers, and mentors who can ensure our society and our nation will stand for the generations to come.

Raise Them Right is a national movement of parents and mentors uniting to help our young people overcome challenging social headwinds by encouraging active parenting and mentorship in healthy and meaningful lifestyles that tap into our country's natural bounty and rich outdoor heritage. Powered by Fathers in the Field, Raise Them Right illuminates the efforts and accomplishments of individuals, families, and organizations making positive, life-enduring changes in America's upcoming generation.

This national movement of outdoor industry members aims to inspire and serve as a hub for individuals and businesses with the common goal of committing to intentionally invest in the next generation of youths in America’s outdoors. In this unique classroom, parents and mentors can instill steadfast confidence in young people, develop in them virtues of character, and intentionally build sustainable family legacies that make and will keep America great.
