USCCA Sponsors National Train A Teacher Day

Sponsorship includes donating Defensive Shooting Fundamentals book and other resources to students and instructors.

West Bend, WI – The United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA), which provides education, training and self-defense protection to more than 300,000 responsible American gun owners across the country, announced today that it is the official sponsor of National Train a Teacher Day, which aims to empower educators across the country with the training and tools they need to defend themselves in the case of a horrific attack.

“All too often we see deranged criminals targeting schools precisely because they know the innocent people inside are unable to protect themselves,” USCCA President and Founder Tim Schmidt said. “By sponsoring National Train a Teacher Day and providing educational materials to educators, administrators and students, we hope to help change the current status quo and prevent these tragedies from happening in the future. We are proud to sponsor this worthy effort and look forward to continuing the work to ensure our children are protected in the classroom.”

As part of its sponsorship of National Train a Teacher Day, USCCA will donate materials used by volunteer USCCA Certified Instructors who are offering free courses on July 20th, 2019. Donated materials will include Defensive Shooting Fundamentals book and the online eLearning program that goes with it for teachers participating in the training programs across the country.
