Hornady A-Tip Bullets Dominate at K&M PRS Match

(Grand Island, Nebr.) — Hornady® congratulates team members Marc Cooper, Clay Blackketter and Tate Streater on their top ten finish at the K&M Precision Rifle Series and AG Cup Qualifier, May 23 in Finger, Tennessee.

Cooper not only won the Tactical Division shooting his 308 Win. rifle loaded with Hornady 30 cal. 176 gr. A-Tip™ bullets, but he came in 2nd in the overall match. This is the first time in recent history that a Tactical Class shooter, competing against this level of competition has finished in the top ten in a National Match.

“These bullets are incredible” said Cooper. “One example of their ability was stage 16, prone position, we shot 10 round TYL rack at 750 yards. Plate sizes started at 20” and went down to 4”, I hit every single target. My squad was speechless!” Cooper added.

Team Hornady shooter, Clay Blackketter placed 5th overall using Hornady 6mm 110gr. A-Tip bullets and Tate Streater placed 8th overall using Hornady 6mm 110gr. A-Tip bullets.

A-Tip™ Match bullets feature an aluminum tip that’s precision machined and longer than polymer tips. That moves the center of gravity and enhances inflight stability, resulting in tighter groups and reduced drag variability. In addition, A-Tip™ bullets are sequentially packaged for the ultimate in consistent performance.

The K&M match is the nation’s premier and largest individual precision rifle event with some of the toughest competition in the world.
