TriStar Arms is proud to announce that its upcoming Viper G3 Bronze semi-auto 12ga shotgun has been named one of three finalists for the 2026 NASGW-POMA Caliber Award for Best New Shotgun.

The Viper G3 Bronze represents the next generation of TriStar's popular Viper platform, building on the success of the award-winning Viper G2 series. Developed with input from the same engineer responsible for the Viper G2, the Viper G3 was designed to further advance the platform while maintaining the value and accessibility that have become hallmarks of the TriStar brand.

The Viper G2 has earned recognition from both the industry and shooting community, including awards for the Viper G2 Bronze .410. With the Viper G3, TriStar is carrying that proven platform forward with a new-generation shotgun designed to deliver even more to today's hunters and recreational shooters.

"We are honored to have the Viper G3 recognized as one of the three finalists for the Caliber Award for Best New Shotgun," said Ryan Bader, President of TriStar Arms. "The Viper G2 has been an important part of the TriStar lineup, and the Viper G3 builds on that foundation while continuing our commitment to quality, innovation and value. We are excited to introduce the G3 to the industry and believe this recognition reflects the work that went into developing the next generation of the Viper platform."

The NASGW-POMA Caliber Awards recognize new products across seven categories, including Best New Shotgun, Best New Rifle, Best New Handgun, Best New Optic, Best New Ammunition, Best New Accessory and Best New Suppressor. An independent panel of 18 shooting industry professionals, including wholesalers and media members, selects the finalists and winners.

The Viper G3 Bronze will be showcased as part of TriStar Arms' new product lineup at the 2026 NASGW Expo, taking place October 13–15 in Phoenix, Arizona.

TriStar has previously earned the NASGW-POMA Caliber Award for Best New Shotgun, with the TriStar Bristol receiving the honor in 2021. The recognition of the Viper G3 Bronze as a 2026 finalist continues TriStar's history of bringing new shotguns to the market that combine quality, performance and value.
