The new Garra III Karambit Sideliner offers all the advantages of a traditional karambit but with several enhanced features to promote comfort, ease of use, and custom carry positions.
For example, the rugged D2 Tool Steel hawkbill 2.25-inch blade hosts ambidextrous thumbstuds for rapid, one-hand deployment. Jimping at the back of the blade promotes controlled cutting and slicing while ensuring solid thumb traction.
The Gara III employs a sideliner lock that confidently secures the blade in the open position. Jimping across the lock delivers sure, positive engagement for closing the blade. There is also an extended nail groove to assist two-handed opening.
Speaking of traction and grip, the Gara III's G10 handle includes "blackout panels" along the grip scales. These not only add to the knife's unique style but also enhance grip texture for optimal control and retention. Additional retention and control come by way of a robust and integrated finger ring, which boasts jimping on the back side — helpful when using the knife in defensive applications.
To allow for customized EDC positions, the Gara III Karambit Sideliner, with its 5.25-inch closed length, comes with a strong steel pocket clip and offers four user-defined positions: left- or right-side and tip-up or tip-down carry.
