The Armory Life Announces Fall 2026 Print Issue Featuring Echelon Alpha on the Cover

The Armory Life is pleased to announce the release of the Fall 2026 issue of The Armory Life print magazine with a cover featuring both the Echelon™ Alpha 4.0C 9mm pistol as well as our most recent "Cantius Award" recipient, Dr. Will Dabbs.

This issue's cover gun, the Echelon Alpha 4.0C, is the newest addition to Springfield's popular line of duty-grade 9mm pistols. With an MSRP of $599, the Alpha offers an even more accessible entry point into the modular Echelon ecosystem. Additionally, the issue features an in-depth interview with Dr. Dabbs, our "Cantius Award" contributor of the year.

Also included in the issue are detailed reviews of Springfield products such as the 1911 Garrison Target and M1A™ SOCOM 16 CQB as well as pieces on the Ed Brown Metal Grip Module for the Prodigy, a custom folding-stocked Model 2020, the Strike Industries STAB folding brace for the Kuna, and much more. Round that out with a fascinating historical piece on a WWI-era flamethrowing bayonet, and you have yet another must-read issue.

Since its launch in 2019, TheArmoryLife.com has proven to be an outstanding online resource for firearms-oriented content. With the launch of the full-color, 96-page quarterly print magazine in early 2021, fans of The Armory Life were given an entirely new medium for consuming this content. Recipients of The Armory Life print magazine are selected from Springfield Armory warranty registrants. Currently, subscribers receive two years' worth (eight issues) of the magazine.

The print magazine is designed to integrate closely with its digital sibling website, featuring easy-to-use QR codes throughout. Simply open your camera app on your smartphone and scan the code, and you'll be taken online to expanded content and video segments.

"The selection of Dr. Will Dabbs as this year's 'Cantius Award' recipient was an easy one," said Mike Humphries, editor-in-chief of the magazine. "A natural wordsmith and storyteller as well as one of the hardest-working writers in the industry, Dabbs is a perennial favorite with both our readers and our staff."
