Knoxville, TN - SDS Imports is seeking a highly motivated sales force leader to manage our growing sales team in Knoxville, Tennessee. Reporting to the VP, Sales and Marketing, the ideal candidate will play a critical role in growing the SDS organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and develop sales strategies and action plans, lead, motivate, and develop the sales organization
- Lead the planning and execution of all sales activities. Oversee the development of account plans, forecasts, and revenue targets.
- Attend trade shows and other events, identify business opportunities, and build strategically important relationships with customers and industry partners
- Cross-functional coordination to develop marketing, pricing, product management and advertising strategies.
- Manage Customer Service to ensure that sales support and administration programs produce efficient operations, maintain customer goodwill, and achieve business objectives for customers.
- Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all sales and business development initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5+years progressive experience in a B2B sales or business development role in the shooting sports or related industry desired.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership/management role.
- Experience leveraging the capabilities of representative groups.
- Well-developed network of contacts and relationships with existing and potential customers. Established track record of successful sales in national retail markets.
- Strong leadership, communication, decision making, problem solving and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to manage at both the strategic and operational level.
- Strong customer focus with excellent negotiation and public relations skills.
- Experience with ERP systems, EDI, and data analysis tools
- Proximity to the Knoxville area (this is not a remote position)
