MidwayUSA Promotes Brian Rose to Engineering Manager – Logistics

COLUMBIA, MO –

MidwayUSA’s Brian Rose was recently promoted to the position of Engineering Manager – Logistics. Rose began his career at MidwayUSA in 2016 as an Industrial Engineer and has spent the last several years engaged in process improvement projects. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2005, and his Master of Science in Aviation Safety from the University of Central Missouri in 2010. Most recently, Brian served as Engineering Manager – Quality Management Systems, where his primary responsibilities included business process analysis and improvement initiatives.

“I have always embraced continuous process improvement, both as an Employee and as a Customer,” said Rose. “I look forward to leading the development and refinement of our processes in order to improve the overall Customer experience with MidwayUSA.”

In his new position, Brian will be responsible for managing and improving the Warehouse Management System, Inventory Control, and Maintenance processes. His key job duties will include slotting management, Logistics Application formula and algorithm development, leading process improvement initiatives, and driving improvements to performance monitoring and measurement.

“Brian’s experience working on process improvement projects in nearly every department at MidwayUSA has given him a great systems perspective,” said Joel Felten, Interim VP of Logistics and VP of Information Systems. “His strong analytical skill set, his understanding of Lean and Six Sigma and his being a strong team player will help him provide exceptional value in his new role as Engineering Manager. The Logistics Operations over the last nine months have really benefited from Brian’s strong analytical skill set, so it was an easy decision for us to promote him into this Logistics position.”
