Century Arms Supports Veteran Wellness Through Its Gift to Josh’s House

Colchester, VT. –– Century Arms is proud to support the veterans of this great country through a donation to the amazing facility known as Josh’s House VT. After meeting with Valerie Pallotta and the men and women that encompass the heart of Josh’s House, the Century Arms family knew that this was an organization deserving support. Josh’s House has a primary goal of providing a safe and welcoming space for active and veteran military personnel by creating an environment which enriches the lives of those involved through an atmosphere the men and women that served this great country can relate to, at no cost to them. The facility is located at the old Fort Ethan Allen in Colchester and its namesake is Josh Pallotta, a Vermont native who deployed to Afghanistan with the Vermont National Guard as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. The physical and mental scars of combat caused Josh “to never really come back from that” said his mother, Valerie. On September 23rd, 2014 Josh lost his battle with PTSD and ended his life. Through the grief of losing their child, rose the phoenix of an initiative to end veteran suicide for Val and her husband, Greg. They created the Josh Pallotta Fund and ultimately started Josh’s House.

Century Arms was fortunate to employ Josh for a period of time along with a large number of active and retired military members throughout the 61 years of the company’s operation. The sacrifice from men and women who bravely protect our freedoms is something the team at Century Arms does not take lightly and as a sign of appreciation Century Salutes was created. The sole goal of this philanthropy is to identify organizations that cater to military and law enforcement personnel needs and provide financial, emotional, and physical support. It is with this mission in mind that the Veterans Rifle was created and distributed with a portion of the proceeds of each unit sold, raising $20,000, to be donated to Josh’s House. “We here at Century Arms can’t even begin to thank the men and women who selflessly put their lives on the line to protect the freedoms our country was founded on” said Adam Ruonala, National Marketing Director for Century Arms, “but we hope this small token of our gratitude allows these warriors to feel the peace and warmth that their courage provides all Americans on a daily basis.”

Members of Century Arms and Josh’s House are inviting veterans, active military, members of the press, and the community to attend the check presentation, meet the team, and receive a tour of Josh’s House on September 1st, 2022 at 5pm.
