Anniston, AL, US – Today Creedmoor Sports released The Creedmoor Enhanced Press Head compatible with the Redding T-7 turret press. Developed with handloaders in mind, this new press head takes an already proven reloading system significantly further in the areas of precision, ease of use, and product longevity.
“The Redding T-7 Press has remained a favorite among precision reloaders and is a critical piece of reloading equipment our product development team utilizes regularly for ammunition and product testing,” said John Teachey, Vice President of Operations. “A machined stainless steel head, rather than one made from cast steel, allows for tighter tolerances, an improved surface finish, and ultimately makes a better product for our customers.”
This press head is a direct drop-in upgrade to the Redding T-7 and can be installed in a matter of minutes. Manufactured from solid 416 stainless steel bar stock, the same material used in premium rifle barrels and actions, the Creedmoor Enhanced Press Head has a premium finish, offers higher corrosion and wear resistance, and incorporates a thread quality second to none. The machining process is held to tight tolerances with particular care paid to maintaining flatness of both top and bottom surfaces. This helps maintain a true perpendicular relationship between the head and die, reducing run out in bullet seating operations. The die positions are precisely located and cut to offer an ultra-smooth thread which interface perfectly with industry standard 7/8-14 threaded dies. Incorporating a unique integral detent and track system, the indexing ball is captured during rotation reducing wear and making transitions from station-to-station extremely smooth, positive and repeatable.
