Summit looks to expand market share of Energetic Armaments innovative centerfire and rimfire silencers
Austin, TX
Summit Sound Technologies, today announced they are acquiring Energetic Armament, an innovation leader in the silencer space.
Summit is led by two Texas based seasoned executives with deep roots in the industry, Anson Gordon and Josh Rininger. They have both played pivotal roles in growing the silencer market over the last ten years, leading sales teams and building sales channels for top-selling brands in the business. The duo has partnered with Stuart Thomajan, founder of venture capital firm Chameleon Companies, to execute on a combined strategic vision to leverage innovative, proprietary technology from Energetic to build a market leading product portfolio.
Energetic Armament, founded in 2017, has found market success as a silencer manufacturer focused on exceptional quality and engineering innovation, with unparalleled precision at every step, from R&D to manufacturing. Energetic currently offers six models of silencers across both rimfire and centerfire platforms, as well as a selection of muzzle devices and accessories tailor-made for discerning enthusiasts.
“Our desire to offer the best in the business, without compromise, has been our goal from the beginning. The acquisition of Energetic both supports and accelerates that.” said Gordon. “Together, we will set a new industry standard for what a silencer company can achieve.”
As part of the acquisition, Energetic Armament co-founders Karl Edminster and Steve Piche will join Summit to lead engineering and execute on this shared vision. Their efforts will focus on developing new lines of products to complement the existing legacy of quality in the Energetic lineup.
“This acquisition serves as the perfect opportunity to provide Energetic Armament products at an increased scale, while allowing Steve and I to focus on designing new high performance, precision engineered products that will set Summit apart. The joined teams are tailor made to lead the market in R&D and sales.” said Edminster.
The newly formed organization will focus on three key priorities:
1. Scaling production to meet increasing market demand for Energetic products.
2. Significantly expanding Energetics research and development capabilities to bring new performance engineered products to market.
3. Continuing to differentiate Energetics product lineup from the existing market with new materials, testing capabilities and manufacturing techniques.
