DC Project-Women for Gun Rights, Represents in Tennessee Special Session

Nashville, TN — Members of the DC Project, Women for Gun Rights were proud to stand with Tennessee members in opposition to failed gun control policies. Assistant Leader of the Republican conference, State Representative Mark Cochran introduced the group at a press conference on the opening day of the Special Session on gun control this week.

Dozens of DC Project, Women for Gun Rights state delegates convened at the Capitol and represented the silent majority that do NOT believe that gun control is the answer to violence prevention. Click here to watch the presentation.

Anti-gun protesters, particularly women, are begging for and demanding more gun control, specifically red flag laws, universal background checks, and an assault weapons ban.

DC Project, Women for Gun Rights Founder, Dianna Muller, said “Our presence on opening day of the special session was important to give the public input from the women with a different opinion. Gun control advocates are not the majority they claim to be, but if they are the only ones that show up, they can certainly look like it on the six o’clock news.”

Regional Director, Amanda Suffecool, added, “Various Second Amendment groups have done a tremendous work leading up to this special session. But the battle rages over the hearts and minds of the public and the DC Project, Women for Gun Rights is proud to lead the public relations front of this battle.”

The special session runs all week, but the regular session starts in January 2024 and it is suspected that the calls for gun control will continue. The DC Project is a nationwide organization of women committed to safeguarding the Second Amendment. A non-partisan initiative of daughters, mothers, and sisters that believes education is the key to firearm safety and violence prevention, not legislation. We counter the disinformation gun control groups circulate by informing our friends, families, communities, and legislators with the truth that gun rights are human rights.
