Nashville, TN — Athlon Outdoors created the Ballistic’s Best Awards to be the most prestigious honor in the firearms world, recognizing the top handguns, rifles, shotguns and more in a given year. The premier issue of “Ballistic’s Best” is a large-format, beast of a book destined to become the most sought-after magazine in the shooting sports industry.
Ballistic’s staff and experts have specific criteria to judge every nominee and pick a winner. Products recognized in “Ballistic’s Best” must meet the demanding criteria and testing protocols of Ballistic’s content creators and leading firearms experts.
While we know readers trust the opinions of our staff and lineup of experts, we want our audience’s opinion too! So, from March 1 through March 31, we’ve opened up the first-ever Ballistic’s Best Reader Vote. Readers can look through all the categories and pick their favorite for each. These are the actual categories and nominees from the upcoming issue of “Ballistic’s Best.” It’s the same group our experts will be rating.
