SIG SAUER® ECHO1™ Wins 2017 NRA Golden Bullseye Award

ECHO1 Thermal Reflex Sight Named Optic of the Year from NRA Publications

Newington, NH – SIG SAUER, Inc. is pleased to announce that the company's ECHO1™ digital thermal imaging reflex sight has been awarded a National Rifle Association (NRA) Golden Bullseye Award for 2017. Selected as Optic of the Year by Shooting Illustrated magazine, the Golden Bullseye Award will be presented to SIG SAUER at the upcoming 146th NRA Annual Meeting and Exhibits in Atlanta, Georgia.

Engineered to stand as the most innovative direct view thermal sight in the world, the ECHO1 was chosen for the Golden Bullseye Award over a field of industry-wide optics. Voted on by a panel of the NRA's foremost experts, the ECHO1 was acknowledged for its enhanced feature set, instinctive operating controls and ability to be used for a wide range of day and nighttime applications.

"Thermal is an exciting new category for consumers, and the SIG SAUER ECHO1 expands the market significantly, making it a worthy recipient of the Golden Bullseye," said Ed Friedman, Editor-in-Chief for Shooting Illustrated. "Not only does the ECHO1 provide a useable thermal optic that can withstand the rigors of being mounted on a firearm, it is also priced in a region that is actually affordable for many shooters."

Based on the newest generation of thermal imaging sensors, the ECHO1 offers consumers a compact, ultra-lightweight thermal that is perfectly suited for hunting, home defense, law enforcement, military and search and rescue situations. Functioning similarly to a conventional reflex sight, the ECHO1 allows users to keep both eyes open for fast and intuitive target acquisition with greatly improved situational awareness. The ECHO1 comes equipped with eight different display modes, including the popular white hot and black hot, to help shooters quickly obtain their target by offering maximum contrast to the background. Additional features found on the ECHO1 include five different standardized reticles as well as the ability to design and upload your own, a 1X and 2X digital zoom, image capture, abrasion-resistant coatings and waterproof (IPX-6 rated) performance.

"On behalf of SIG SAUER, I would like to thank the experts at NRA Publications for recognizing the ECHO1 as a worthy recipient of the Golden Bullseye Award," said Andy York, President, Electro-Optics. "Their validation as well as positive feedback we have received from numerous consumers on the effectiveness of the ECHO1 is a tremendous honor. At SIG SAUER, we take immense pride in designing, manufacturing and bringing to market innovative products and the ECHO1 is another example of our commitment to setting new industry standards."
