Burris Company Seeks Senior Graphic Designer

Summary:
The Graphic Designer works closely with the marketing staff in developing design concepts using knowledge of layout principals and design concepts. Prepares layouts from approved concepts using Macintosh computer and design software. Creates digital Photoshop composites. Satisfies graphic and photographic requests from media, consumers and various departments within the company. Provides ad production files for all media outlets for publication. Assists in maintaining corporate identity in keeping with corporate branding standards and strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develops templates and production files for annual dealer workbooks.

· Designs advertisements, web banner ads, trade show booth graphics, posters, flyers, brochures, sell sheets and product packaging.

· Monitors and helps maintain visual and content integrity of web sites and consumer forums.

· Photographs, retouches, masks and color corrects digital images for inclusion in design projects.

· Works with, Director of Marketing, Events & Exhibitions Manager, Media Relations & Communications Manager and Online Marketing Manager to generate creative ideas and concepts to fulfill the requirements of the channel/sales managers and sales team.

· Provides direction and assistance to photographers for specific photographic needs.

· Searches royalty free photographic sites for appropriate stock images for inclusion on projects.

· Regularly updates the Director of Advertising on workflow issues/concerns.

· Provides graphic design services to sales representatives.­­­

· Fulfills image requests from consumers, writers, media and dealers.

· Designs and provides promotional materials for pro staff teams.

· Resizes and converts advertisements for publications with various print specifications.

· Assists with package design and cosmetics for new products.

Performance Measurements:
· Successful, timely and accurate completion of assigned design and photography projects provide a constant measurement/gauge of desired job performance to Director of Marketing.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Outside vendors

Skills Required:
· Ability to operate a Macintosh computer

· Ability to effectively use Adobe Creative Suite software at an advanced level

· Ability to use Microsoft Office software

Education and Experience Requirements:
· BA in Communications/Graphic Arts

· 8 to 10 years' experience in marketing department/ graphics department/agency. Hunting/outdoor industry and firearm use/industry experience strongly recommended.
