The Position

Our Overland Park, KS location is seeking a Copywriter to add to our team. The Copywriter is responsible for working with team members from other departments to achieve project goals and meet client expectations.

Responsibilities
· Create and develop promotional, advertising and other communication materials for assigned brands. Is able to develop or maintain tone of voice for individual brands.
· Anticipates issue, feedback and tasks, and work on them without being asked.
· Actively seek creative opportunities and projects beyond expected duties.
· Demonstrate a strong command of the written language, both formal and informal.
· Write compelling, concise copy for a variety of audiences and brands.
· Demonstrate a wide degree of writing abilities from long form prose to inspiring calls-to-action to instructional copy.
· Write with speed, consistency, accuracy and creative flair; even under pressure and while delivering multiple projects, quality is never compromised.
· Respond positively to feedback from the client and re-draft copy to meet their needs, while retaining the impact of the message.
· Take personal accountability for on-time delivery of projects. Is a leader within the team and department.

Requirements
· 4+ years of marketing copywriting experience; agency or corporate advertising department preferred
· Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or Mass Communications
· Proven abilities writing to both B2B and consumer audiences
· Skilled at writing print, web, POP, retail and packaging copy
· Project management experience
· Solid understanding of copy and design integration
· Ability to translate and convey technical data
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage deadlines
· Strong spelling, grammar, proofreading and communication skills
· High proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Attributes
· Passion for individual outdoor sports
· General knowledge of Adobe products
