(Melbourne, FL) ARES Defense will begin shipping an all new rifle platform for the American Patrol Officer and for civilians seeking a tactical rifle with a more traditional style buttstock and no pistol grip. The innovative and patented ARES MPR™ (Modular Patrol Rifle) is the first in its class of semi-automatic patrol rifles that delivers the modularity and firepower of an M4 type carbine but in a traditional rifle configuration.
The ARES MPR™ delivers strength, reliability and accuracy combined with the rugged, all weather characteristics of America's longest serving infantry rifle but in a traditionally styled rifle. Lightweight and accurate, the ARES MPR™ features a chrome lined barrel, sling mounts, MIL-STD 1913 flat top upper receiver with M4 feed ramps that accepts most modern optics, ejection port dust cover, case deflector for left hand shooters, backup iron sights, removable bolt catch, choice of a standard or MIL-STD 1913 Rail Handguard, and a patent pending muzzle device mounting system that accepts specialized muzzle brakes and flash suppressors without reliance on muzzle threads or threaded barrels. Optionally, the ARES MPR™ will also be available with a patented ARES Defense GXR™ Gas Piston system installed in place of the direct-gas operating system for use in extreme environmental conditions.
