Fountain Valley, CA — SureFire, LLC, manufacturer of high-performance illumination tools, suppressors and tactical products, is pleased to announce the hire of Rick Krewson as its new Foreign Military Sales and International Business Development Director. Mr. Krewson, who previously served as the Iraq Country Manager / International Program Manager at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing product solutions, and implementing new sales growth programs for SureFire within the international military and consumer markets.

Krewson brings extensive sales and business growth experience to his new role at SureFire. He is a retired U.S. Army officer with over two decades of overseas experience working with senior U.S. and foreign military officers and with senior State Department officers at U.S. Embassies on four separate continents. At his U.S. embassy position, he was responsible for all new pursuits with the U.S. State Department and U.S. Military in Iraq, and he led contract pursuits in Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, and the United Arab Emirates. Prior to that, Krewson led business-development teams at Raytheon, in California, and ITT Communications Systems, in Indiana.

Rick Krewson holds a master's degree in international relations from St. Mary's University, in San Antonio, Texas, and was a doctoral candidate in the same subject at Katholieke Universiteit, in Leuven, Belgium. He also has an MBA from City University of Seattle and earned his bachelor's degree in humanities, with a focus on Russian and English literature, from Kansas State University. An effective communicator, Krewson is not only adept at conveying his message, he's able to do so in multiple languages—along with English, he's also fluent in French and Russian and speaks conversational German, Spanish, and Hungarian.
