Team RangeLog Shooters Allen and Vaccaro Win at the 2013 Ala. IDPA State Championship

Shorter, AL - Over 160 shooters competed on the weekend of April 20, in one Alabama's largest practical pistol matches, the Alabama State IDPA Championship. This match continues to deliver challenging stages with fierce competition.

Team RangeLog's Morgan Allen was the High Overall finisher at the match and was awarded the Enhanced Service Pistol (ESP) Division Title with a time of 229.28 and only 57 points down over 12 courses of fire, 5 of which were stage wins for Morgan. This is Morgan's 4th year in a row winning the Alabama IDPA ESP State Championship.

Regarding the match, Allen said "This match wasn't a complicated one but had a more than a few technical shots spread at just the right intervals to force many speed changes. Although my match began with a bit of a rocky start, it quickly improved. Without a well-documented and rehearsed practice plan and training program in place, early hiccups could have easily derailed my match.

I would like to give thanks to my sponsors for helping make the matches possible, including RangeLog, Team ITI, Rainier Ballistics, Safariland, Abernathy Gun Works, and others. "

Team RangeLog's newest team member, Colleen Vaccaro, a junior shooter, had a great showing as well. Colleen brought home THREE plaques from the Match. Colleen finished High Lady, High Junior and 3rd place Expert Stock Service Pistol (SSP) with a time of 279.06 with 55 points down. Colleen walks away with the title of 2013 Alabama Lady's State IDPA Champion!
