Exclusive to Redfield's Revenge riflescope line, the Accu-Ranger Ballistics System ™ allows hunters to determine the distance to commonly hunted animals and enhances shooting accuracy at longer ranges - out to 600 yards - without taking eyes off the target.
The only one of its kind, Accu-Ranger is an "in-scope" ballistic ranging system. It eliminates the additional movement associated with going back and forth between scope and rangefinder when setting up for a shot. The system provides accurate ballistic ranging out to 600 yards for centerfire rifles, 300 yards for sabots and 60 yards for crossbows.
With Accu-Ranger, the hunter simply uses the scope's power selector ring to bracket the animal's torso between the horizontal line of the reticle and the bottom of the top post. As this occurs, the top horizontal line moves up or down against a set of numbers along the vertical line of the reticle. The numbers correspond to the distance: 1 - 100 yards, 2 - 200 yards, etc. After determining yardage, the hunter zooms the scope up to its highest power, and then uses the corresponding holdover dots as the aimpoint.
