Safariland® Releases Next Generation Competition Holster

JACKSONVILLE, Florida - Safariland®, a BAE Systems business, announced today that it has released the Model 014 Open Class Competition Holster. This holster offers a host of advantages over other competition holsters, primarily in its ability to be customized. It is fully adjustable, compact and lightweight, and features an adjustable slider bar for the muzzle retainer that helps to keep the handgun from being knocked out of holster while seated.

The Safariland Model 014 Open Class Competition Holster is the next generation of competition holster for the Open and Limited Class shooter. It will accommodate handguns from 5" to 7.5" in length, including the compensator, and it is made of hard anodized aluminum with a limited-movement pivot ball that provides four axis adjustments.

The 014 includes the Safariland adjustable trigger guard locking mechanism that keeps the handgun secure in the holster during rigorous activity. An ambidextrous design, the Model 014 features a removable belt loop and height adjustment bar allowing the shooter to customize the positioning of the holster for optimum comfort and improved performance. This holster will also mount directly in to the pre-cut ELS holes found on the Safariland Model 032 ELS Competition Belt.

The Model 014 is available in a black or red finish, and fits belt widths from 1.5 inches to 1.75 inches. The 014 currently accommodates all of the 1911 models including the STI/SVI, CZ, EAA and Sphinx handguns. Available now, the MSRP is $200.00

Safariland will continue to expand the fits for the Model 014 this year. Look for S&W M&P, Glock and Springfield Armory XD(M) fits to be released this summer.
