ASP Seeks Regional Sales Director

Armament Systems and Procedures (ASP)?a respected, leading manufacturer of law enforcement and public safety products?is seeking a world class, proven sales professional to service its Mid-Eastern US Market (Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, and Kentucky). The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of high-performing experience, and be based in the region, with the ability to travel easily, efficiently and frequently.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with the Vice President of Sales and company executive leadership to set sales targets and other objectives and expectations for the territory
  • Developing and managing successful, profitable relationships with public safety, security and military distributors
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with law enforcement agencies, end-users and other key influencers
  • Supporting and training distributors’ inside and outside sales staff
  • Working closely with distributors on agency/government bids, tenders and contracts
  • Attending trade shows and conferences
  • Managing the company’s instructor certification program within the territory
  • Managing the company’s product testing and evaluation program within the territory

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of education
  • Minimum of 3 years’ proven, successful product sales experience, preferably in a business-to-business setting
  • Law enforcement, military or other government experience?whether as a service/agency member or industry supplier?is a major advantage
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, ability to present confidently to groups and to high-level decision-makers
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, yet equally comfortable in a strong team-driven culture
  • Meticulous attention to detail, organization, record keeping and follow up
  • High proficiency with common business technology and applications, including the MS Office Suite (Office 365), Dropbox and popular video conferencing platforms
  • Must be willing and able to travel anywhere within the territory at least 50% of the time
  • Able to travel as needed for company meetings and trade events (typically 2-3 times per year)
  • Able to attend regular video and/or phone meetings on US Central Time (typically twice a month)
