Editor's Note

The industry sustained a loss on Friday with the passing of holster heavyweight Mark Craighead. His company, beginning in a garage just seven short years ago, is currently a powerhouse of holster production. Instead of stocking holsters, they begin with your order and build a holster for you while using production methods geared to quality and value. He started with a concept, came up with a name built around the holster components and his personal Christian faith and added his aggressive marketing to turn the concealed carry component of the industry on its ear. Lost to us at age 43, he leaves his family - the reason for his drive and passions - and the company that he put on the map. The News-Leader published the following statement in Mark's obituary: "There will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2012 in Calvary Baptist Church, 804 US Highway 60 W, in Republic, under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home, Republic. Burial, with military honors, will follow the service in Wade Chapel Cemetery, Republic. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org or Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.
