The
I.C.E Claw™ Rear Sights have gotten great feedback from users since they were released last fall for Glock Pistols. This is the only rear sight design with a concave front surface which makes one handed manipulations (reloads and malfunction clearing) more efficient. Rob Pincus designed it to perfectly pair with the Lumi-Square front sight from Ameriglo. This is Rob's perfect defensive rear sight and it is now available for Smith & Wesson M&P full size and compact defensive pistols.
The I.C.E Claw™ rear has a very wide rear notch to allow for fast alignment under various lighting and contrast conditions. Too often when designers have tried to make sights "faster" to use they have strayed too far from the actual primary purpose of sights in the first place: to increase precision capability, when necessary. The reason that the Lumi-Square is the perfect front sight to be paired with the I.C.E Claw™ is that it maintains the relationship between the square notch on the rear sight and the front sight. Since the bright paint fills almost the entire surface area of the front sight, it allows for very fast focus and alignment without giving up any of the inherent precision capability of the "notch & blade" sight design.
The new I.C.E Claw™ Rear Sights for Smith and Wesson M&P Pistols are now at the I.C.E Training Company Online Store, alone (to be paired with any standard height front sight) or as a set with the bright, crisp Lumi-Square Front. You can purchase them at his site, along with other I.C.E Claw™ pistol accessories.
