Video shows how Gearfire retailer and range clients can activate the donation software
NEWTOWN, Conn. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, and Gearfire are pleased to announce a new partnership supporting Project ChildSafe® and gun safety. Gearfire gives industry the opportunity to support NSSF’s Project ChildSafe gun safety education program by offering retailers and ranges the ability to activate a round-up or donation option for their customers to use at checkout.
In a new video, Joe Bartozzi, NSSF’s President and CEO and Chairman of the Project ChildSafe Foundation, and Eric Wille, Gearfire’s Director of Retail Product Management, announce the partnership. In the video, Wille illustrates how Gearfire’s clients can activate the Project ChildSafe donation option.
Gearfire provides a suite of technology solutions tailored to the firearm and outdoor sports industries which include eCommerce, point-of-sale, payment processing and consumer financing, as well as retail business intelligence. Gearfire is a preferred point-of-sale provider to NSSF’s Five-Star Ranges.
Gearfire said it is excited about giving its clients the opportunity to allow customers to support Project ChildSafe’s gun safety program. The software comes preloaded with all the information, and all the client needs to do is activate it.
Wille said, “The benefit of this partnership is a huge opportunity for the industry to support its flagship safety program and lead the conversation about real gun safety.”
“Safely handling and securely storing firearms is the number one responsibility of owning a firearm, and our gun safety resources are in more demand than ever,” said Bartozzi. “We are really excited to launch our partnership with Gearfire, and we encourage industry retailers and shooting ranges to participate because firearm safety benefits everyone. We truly appreciate this amazing effort by Gearfire.”
