Irving Stone III, owner of Bar-Sto Precision Machine, was presented with the 2016 American Pistolsmiths Guild Pistolsmith of the Year Award. Stone received this prestigious award at the annual American Pistolsmiths Guild meeting in Las Vegas on Monday evening.

The American Pistolsmiths Guild was formed in 1977 with eleven charter members. Membership into the Guild can only be obtained by submitting an application which is then reviewed by voting members on the applicant's talent as a pistolsmith, reputation, and business practices.

Members must follow a set of guidelines created by the Guild so that consumers can be guaranteed to receive quality work and customer service from any member of the Guild.

The American Pistolsmiths Guild Pistolsmith of the Year Award has been handed out to one Guild member a year since 1985. The award carries with it a testament to the recipient's true talent and benefit to the firearms industry.
