Columbia, MO -Larry and Brenda Potterfield, owners of MidwayUSA, recently donated to the MidwayUSA Foundation to benefit youth shooting sports. Their donation of $645,366 will go directly into the Team Endowment Accounts of various shooting teams that hold an active account with the MidwayUSA Foundation.

While a portion of this donation, $30,000, was awarded to teams that won the Constituent Challenge for the month of October, the majority of the donation stems from the a matching program. All general donations made to the MidwayUSA Foundation are matched 2:1 by Larry and Brenda Potterfield and donors have the ability to choose the shooting team that will benefit from 100% of their donation. This program ends November 30, 2014.

The MidwayUSA Foundation is a public charity working to sustain the shooting sports industry by providing long-term funding to youth shooting teams. Shooting teams with a Team Endowment Account can draw 5% of their account balance each year to use for team expenses. The funds can be used for ammunition, uniforms, entry fees, travel costs and more. Teams wishing to draw their 5% this year can apply via the MidwayUSA Foundation grant application process, before December 15, 2014.
