APPLETON, Wisconsin – Gun Digest Media LLC, publisher of Gun Digest the Magazine and Gun Digest books, has added BLADE Magazine and all related BLADE-brand assets to its portfolio.
BLADE Magazine, established as American Blade in 1973 and renamed BLADE in 1982, is billed as “The World’s #1 Knife Publication.” Published 13 times per year,BLADE Magazine showcases information on knives and their designs to educate and inform knifemakers, collectors and consumers who appreciate expert knowledge on quality cutlery of all types. Steve Shackleford, who joined Blade Magazine in 1985 and became editor of Blade Magazine in 1991, will continue in his role at the helm of the editorial department.

The acquisition also includes BLADE Show, the world’s largest knife show, held annually in Atlanta, Georgia. The recently completed 37th annual BLADE Show hosted a record number of attendees and exhibitors. It is followed by BLADE Show West Oct. 5-7, 2018, in Portland, Oregon.
