POSITION DESCRIPTION
OEM Technical Support Specialist
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The OEM Technical Support Specialist will provide technical support for OEM activities including customer supplied document validation, communication of scope of work to internal manufacturing & third party vendors, tooling requirements and any other technical oriented activity.
Act as liaison between customers and manufacturing
Work closely with OEM Sales Manager to support customer quotation and barrel requirements to ensure projects are correctly assessed and within company capabilities.
Validate all prints prior to quotation to identify concerns, missing critical information, conflicting information, etc.
Coordinate with third party vendors on technical aspects of quotation clarification, quotation requirements, scope of work and other general expectations for new and ongoing projects
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Technical knowledge of firearms and firearm barrels
Experience with 3D CAD design software
Familiarization in CNC manufacturing is a major plus
Excellent communication skills
Professional demeanor
Open to occasional travel (~15%) to industry trade shows, customers and vendor facilities
EDUCATION
A Bachelor's degree or minimum of 4 years working experience in the field is required.
