ALDA, Neb. – Bullet Weights recently received the Above and Beyond Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve program.
The Above and Beyond Award is presented by ESGR state committees to recognize employers at the local level. Recipients have gone above and beyond the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act by providing their Guard and Reserve employees additional, non-mandated benefits such as differential or full pay to offset lost wages, extended health benefits and other similar benefits. The award is given to employers who have had at least one of their supervisors/managers recognized with a Patriot Award, and who have signed or agree to sign an ESGR Statement of Support.
Joe Cook, ESGR area chair and volunteer, presented the Above and Beyond Award on November 1 at Bullet Weights’ Alda, Nebraska, headquarters. In 2017, Bullet Weights received the ESGR Seven Seals Award and company President Joe Crumrine was honored with a Patriot Award. Both awards are given to employers for outstanding support of their employees in the Guard and Reserve.
“We at Bullet Weights appreciate the service that members of the Guard and Reserve give to our country,” Crumrine said. “They experience stressful situations in the course of their duty and should not have to deal with additional worries in the civilian workplace, so we believe it is our duty to stand behind these valued employees.”
“The Above and Beyond Award is presented on behalf of the men and women of the National Guard and Reserve forces,” Cook commented. “It’s a pleasure for me to recognize Bullet Weights once again for outstanding service and continuing support to the national defense.”
