Washington: “Spring Blade” Ban Repeal Bill Reintroduced

The Washington "Spring Blade" Knife Ban Repeal bill, SB 5782, that didn't receive a House floor vote last year as time ran out after passing the Senate and its House committee, has been "reintroduced and retained in present status."

What this means is that a Senator can now pull the bill to the Senate floor for a vote, where it passed 46-1 last year. There would be no committee hearing. Once passed by the Senate it will be sent back to the House.

Knife Rights continues to work closely with Senate Sponsor Hans Zeiger to make sure legislators are educated on the benefits of repealing Washington's archaic ban on "spring blade" knives.

We will let you know when it is time to contact Washington legislators.
